Manx Lottery Trust Commnity Fund supports JDF...

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund through the Manx Lottery Trust, the Foundation has installed a new decking area at the rear of Braddan Bridge House with composite materials.

The original decking was in desperate need of replacement due to rotten timber posts. The recent work was undertaken by J.Cowley Garden Maintenance who have completed works for the Charity in the past. The old wooden decking was very slippery when wet so the change to composite materials should assist the Foundation to ensure the surface is much safer for those that use it. The decking area is a wonderful place for guests to gather and enjoy the tranquillity, particularly in the long summer evenings.

Manx Lottery Trust has supported the Joey Dunlop Foundation with many projects in the past. When the accessible, self-catering holiday apartments first opened in 2010, Manx Lottery Trust assisted with the purchase of all the height adjustable profiling beds. They later funded the replacement bedroom doors on the apartment which has direct access to the decked area. In 2017 two new apartments were added to the building which resulted in a new laundry facility being required and the Manx Lottery Trust also assisted with the funding of the wooden structure.

Joey Dunlop Foundation thanks the Manx Lottery Trustees for their continued support.
